Job Summary
Oversee daily Carpentry operations on active projects at client site in Los Angeles, CA, ensuring compliance with DSA requirements and safety regulations. Coordinate field crews and subcontractors, monitor progress and quality, and maintain clear communication with project managers, inspectors, and client representatives. Lead field operations in an occupied, safety-sensitive environment; identify building systems hidden behind walls, ceilings and floors; enter data on tablets/laptops; apply RSL value guidance for LAUSD facilities; collaborate with other surveyors to gather quantities and boilerplate information; supervise staff and survey participants as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Six (6) or more years full time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty and staff
- Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) requirements and LAUSD facilities condition assessment values
- Ability to lead field operations in an occupied and safety-sensitive environment
