Job Summary
Carpenters for Concrete Construction in Atlanta, GA: Responsible for building, erecting, and dismantling formwork and other structures used in concrete construction, including layout, measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing forms for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other concrete structures, in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Primary duties include general construction labor on-site, material handling, operating power tools, sawing, hammering, and bolting, assisting in vertical concrete pours, installing reshores per instructions, learning vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, distinguishing between different materials/equipment, and reading a tape measure. Candidates should be capable of labor-intensive work, withstand inclement weather, and maintain safety standards. Preference for 12 months of formwork/concrete carpentry experience and OSHA 30 card.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds with assistance; Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing; Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts; Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork / concrete construction work experience as a Carpenter at meets or exceeds performance expectations; Preference of 30 Hour OSHA Card desired.
