Job Summary
Carpenter to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications; measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools. Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations; collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time; perform routine maintenance and repairs; maintain a clean, organized work environment; provide excellent customer service and communicate project updates to clients.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role in the construction industry
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials, including framing, cabinetry, and finishing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record, and reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
