Job Summary
Assist Senior Technicians in servicing and repairing commercial hollow metal doors, wood frames, and finish hardware while adhering to applicable building codes. Install locks, closers, and exit devices, and replace worn door parts using hand tools in both occupied and construction sites. Complete daily paperwork including time sheets and work orders, and maintain your own hand tools in good working order. Perform physical tasks such as lifting materials up to 100 pounds and driving a truck or forklift for multiple hours daily while following all OSHA safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent technical or vocational training
- Minimum 2 years' experience as in construction trade, maintenance, or repair
- General knowledge of Hollow Metal Doors & Frames, Architectural Wood Doors and Frames, and Finish Hardware products, systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines
- Must possess valid driver's license with good driving record
- Must be willing to travel within territory as needed
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Preferred experience in repairs and modifications to wood doors and frame
- Preferred experience with specifications, shop drawings, hardware schedules, blueprints and schematic diagrams to determine appropriate methods of installing or repairing doors and hardware
