Job Summary
Carpenter responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, repairing buildings and structures; performing carpentry work such as foundations, walls, doors, windows, roofing, floors, trim, and related components; maintaining cable trolley systems, playground equipment, and interior/exterior finishes; reading schematics/blueprints; operating hand and power tools; ensuring environmental and safety compliance; ability to lift up to 70 pounds; working outdoors and possibly outside regular hours; valid driver’s license and security clearances required; position is full-time on a federal government contract at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and other programs; journeyman license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of carpentry or construction experience required
- Must be able to read and understand schematics and blueprints
- Journeyman carpenter license preferred
- Valid state driver’s license required
- Access to federal military installation requires REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport or military ID)
- Background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position
