Job Summary
Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements. Take measurements and calculate material needs, then cut, shape, and smooth lumber according to specifications. Install windows, doors, cabinets, shelves, and drywall while adding fixtures like handles and hinges. Build scaffolding, assemble furniture, and perform punch-listing on trim and hardware. Touch up exterior facades and fix door issues as needed. Maintain structures and fixtures in residential buildings across various sectors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Punchlist experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to stoop, stand, climb
- Ability to frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to regularly crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
- Willingness to perform tasks outside of primary trade responsibilities as needed
- Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures
