Job Summary
Carpenter on SERVPRO of Rock County’s Reconstruction team responsible for demolition, framing, drywall installation and finishing, trim, flooring, cabinetry, painting, and related carpentry tasks to restore homes and commercial properties after fire, water, and storm damage. Reads work orders and construction plans, maintains a clean and safe job site, communicates progress to management, operates hand and power tools safely, and assists with punch-list items to complete projects to company standards and customer expectations. Requires strong carpentry skills, the ability to work independently, read a tape measure, perform basic construction math, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check; travel between job sites and occasional overtime may be required; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; full-time position in Janesville, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry or construction experience preferred
- Experience with framing, drywall, trim, painting, flooring, cabinetry, and general construction repairs
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces
- Full-time position supporting reconstruction projects throughout Rock County and surrounding areas
- Occasional overtime may be required based on project demands
- Frequent travel between job sites throughout the workday
- Health insurance is not currently offered
- Company vehicle may be available for qualified employees based on position and responsibilities
