Job Summary
Construct cabinets, furniture, studs, drywall, and acoustic T-Bar ceilings while repairing floors, Corlon, and vinyl tiles. Prepare and lay out materials, install and fix all hardware types, and perform maintenance as assigned. Execute other carpentry duties as directed and rotate coverage across other campuses when required. Maintain a valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry and demonstrate recent experience, ideally within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school completion
- Completion of a recognized Trade and Apprenticeship program
- Valid Province of Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry
- Significant recent related experience as a carpenter
- Hospital/healthcare setting experience
- Maintenance experience
- Blueprint reading
- Ability to work on own initiative
