Job Summary
Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work including construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of wooden structures, fixtures, architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings. Cut, shape, and smooth lumber according to measurements while reviewing blueprints to determine work requirements. Operate power and manual tools, complete assigned tasks with quality workmanship, and perform heavy physical labor. Follow established safety rules, maintain a safe environment, and adhere to instructions from supervisors. This safety-sensitive role requires constant alertness, basic math skills, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. On-the-job training is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
