Job Summary
Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work including construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of wooden structures, fixtures, architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings. Cut, shape, and smooth lumber according to measurements while reviewing blueprints to determine work requirements. Operate power and manual tools, complete assigned tasks with quality workmanship, and perform heavy physical labor. Follow established safety rules, maintain a clean environment, and adhere to instructions from supervisors. This safety-sensitive role offers on-the-job training for carpentry and construction techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
