Job Summary
Carpenter at Newbury Residential (Johnson City, TN) — full-time position performing interior and exterior renovations including framing, drywall, taping, texturing, painting, cabinetry, doors, trim, lighting, plumbing fixtures, siding, windows, caulking, and related tasks. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes; prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins; assist with routine maintenance and repairs; maintain clear communication with residents, employees, and contractors. Requires comprehensive renovation/construction knowledge with at least 3 years in the field, strong communication, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, reliable transportation for travel between properties, and basic hand/power tools. High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred. Must pass background check; must be available for after-hours emergency maintenance; able to stand, walk, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs.
