Job Summary
The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs, fabricates, dismantles, and repairs structures, formwork, and fixtures using wood and metal. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, identifying tools, recognizing safety risks, measuring and cutting materials, building and dismantling forms, and performing various construction tasks. The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience, knowledge of tools, and completion of safety training.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Carpenter in refinery, chemical, petrochemical, plant construction, maintenance or new construction
- Knowledge of carpentry tools
- Experience in building forms
- Must be able to pass Craft proficiency testing at or above 70% or have an NCCER
- Complete Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program
- Must pass background check
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
