Carpenter

Carpenter to respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools and equipment, carry tools, identify shut-offs, maintain inventory, and communicate daily activities to other shifts. Demonstrate knowledge in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry/finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation. Perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of work areas. Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items; program TVs; perform inventory duties. Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance. Maintain landscaping and sprinklers, and display basic computer skills for inputting schedules and adjusting temperatures. Follow all safety policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to positive teamwork and guest service. Supervisory experience not required; hotel engineering/maintenance experience is a plus.
