Carpenter/Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
Perform rough and finish carpentry for renovation and remodeling projects, installing cabinetry, trim, doors, and frames while framing walls and completing structural modifications. Hang, finish, repair, and texture drywall, operate hand and power tools safely, and build custom fixtures and furniture modifications. Read blueprints and construction specifications to complete punch-list items meeting Hilton brand standards, then assist with preventative maintenance, work orders, and basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building repairs. Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, and meeting spaces while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and Hilton safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry or construction experience
- Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and remodeling techniques
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Skilled in the safe operation of hand and power tools
- Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work overhead
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment
- Live up to high safety standards
- Follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions, or unsafe equipment
- Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial remodeling experience preferred
- Hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
