Job Summary
Carpenter/Joiner needed in Broussard, LA to shape, cut, and install insulation and paneling in temporary housing units; read blueprints to determine material dimensions; install mineral wool and fiberglass insulation; install and refurbish steel components, panel systems, doors, and flooring; fit and install interior furnishings such as bunks, desks, and cabinets; requires HS diploma, 2-3 years' experience (training provided), and a valid driver’s license with ability to pass physical, agility, and drug/alcohol screens; must meet FMCSA requirements to operate a commercial vehicle. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two to three years' experience preferred, but willing to train
- Metal duct work fabrication skills
- Experience in fire retardant insulation and applications preferred, but will train
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Current driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass a physical, agility testing, and drug and alcohol screen
- Ability to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements to operate a commercial vehicle
