Job Summary
Carpenter I position focusing on reading blueprints and specifications, measuring, marking, and cutting materials, constructing and dismantling concrete forms, and working on various construction projects. Requires 4+ years of carpentry experience in industrial construction, proficiency in blueprints, and knowledge of basic building techniques. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, and endure various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years working as a carpenter or carpenter helper on an industrial construction project
- Proficient in reading blueprints, plans, and drawings
- Knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction
- Ability to compute basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed
- Willingness to assist other crafts and perform additional job duties
- Willingness to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to follow all company and site rules and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
- National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter
- Formal/Technical education
- Experience working with concrete and rebar
