Job Summary
Complete all assigned carpentry duties, including constructing, erecting, and dismantling formwork, falsework, and shoring systems for concrete structures. Fabricate and install wood structures, platforms, and temporary frameworks while reading blueprints to ensure accurate layout. Perform measurements and installations using hand and power tools to required tolerances, maintaining proper alignment and structural integrity. Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to support daily operations, working independently when directed. This 10-12 hour shift role requires local candidates with reliable transportation to the Stave Falls muster point, as camp accommodation is not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable personal transportation to the Stave Falls muster point
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing 10-12 hour shifts
- Varied shift schedules including 5/2, 6/1, and 14/7 rotations
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Capacity to work independently when required
- Demonstrated willingness to complete and perform tasks as instructed on an as-needed basis
- Valid WorkSafeBC First Aid certificate
- Candidates must be local to the area
Desired Qualifications
- Previous heavy civil construction carpentry experience
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or Red Seal endorsement
- Fall Protection certification
- Confined Space certification
