Job Summary
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools while conforming to local building codes. Study blueprints and building plans to determine material requirements and dimensions, then prepare layouts and mark cutting lines. Shape materials with saws, chisels, and planes, and assemble components with nails, dowel pins, or glue. Erect frameworks, lay subflooring, and install partitions, cabinet work, and finish hardware. Fit prefabricated window frames, doors, and trim, and construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. Requires a high school diploma or GED and appropriate training and experience. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.

- Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders
- Ability to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to see well (either naturally or with correction)
