Job Summary
The Carpenter is responsible for carpentry tasks and assists with constructing and remodeling projects. Must be familiar with tools, able to read blueprints and sketches, and capable of working from blueprints. Knowledge of codes, cost estimates, and interpretation of specifications is helpful. Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures; may install cabinets, siding, drywall, insulation, flooring, ceilings, doors, and hardware; works in patient/resident care areas with safety in mind; follows safety rules and maintains a clean environment. Requires reading floor plans, using hand tools, and applying carpentry techniques to support facilities services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Trade or Vocational School preferred
- valid driver’s license may be required and must maintain a good driving record
