Job Summary
Construct, brace, and secure forms for concrete structures such as retaining walls, pipes, and bridges. Build, align, and secure structure forms for concrete placement while reading and interpreting construction drawings, sketches, and blueprints to ensure accuracy. Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and assemble form materials, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned to support project needs on highway, road, and bridge construction projects. Requires 3+ years of carpenter experience, ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of previous carpenter experience in all types of structural forms, including Symon, EFCO, and Wood forms for cast-in-place (CIP)
- Advanced wood forming experience
- Must provide your own hand tools, such as hammer, pouch, level, 8" crescent wrench, and tape measure
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including standing, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
