Job Summary
Carpenter Foreman responsible for effectively delivering the civil portion of the project, leading and mentoring crews in safe work practice, interpreting complex structural, architectural and civil drawings to ensure formwork aligns with exact specifications, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with emphasis on safety, coordination with site Supervisors and Project Managers, and adherence to engineered formwork systems and concrete formwork methods. Must be willing to work in remote job locations and operate within an industrial construction environment while maintaining a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years carpentry experience with significant concrete/formwork foreman or lead experience
- Strong knowledge of Engineered formwork is mandatory
- Experience working on water treatment or sewage treatment plant projects
- Ability to interpret complex structural, architectural, and civil drawings to ensure formwork aligns with exact specifications
- Strong knowledge of concrete formwork systems and construction methods
- Engineered Formwork Systems
- Structural concrete practices and sequencing
- Blueprint and grade interpretation
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Proven ability to lead crews in a civil or heavy construction environment
- Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity
- Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds, ability to work at heights
- Ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately
- Must be willing to work in remote job locations
- Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site
- Ability to read, understand and write English
