Job Summary
Perform skilled carpentry work by following instructions, rough sketches, or detailed drawings for the construction, repair, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, doors, partitions, and related fixtures. Repairs and maintains building components, including floors, walls, ceilings, screens, windows, sashes, doors, and furniture. Measures, shapes, and cuts materials to specified dimensions using hand tools, machinery, and power saws. Sands, paints, and stains desks, chairs, and other wooden items. Completes various finishing tasks and assembles frameworks or structures using hand tools, screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Removes and replaces damaged or defective structural components. Constructs rough wooden structures such as barricades, boxes, scaffolds, and frameworks. Operates power equipment including saws, jointers, lathes, sanders, planers, and boring and mortising machines. Maintains a clean work environment, adheres to safety and environmental regulations, and ensures compliance with accrediting and licensing standards. Completes and documents work in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- One (1) year of carpenter experience
- Valid Driver's License

- Vocational or technical certification
