Job Summary
Craft, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures by reading blueprints and specifications; measure, cut, shape, and assemble components for frames, doors, windows, staircases, and cabinets; install trim, molding, and hardware; prepare formworks for concrete; assess woodwork quality against project specs; operate hand and power tools and woodworking machinery; comply with local building codes and safety regulations; collaborate with construction professionals to meet timelines and quality standards; provide customer service when interacting with clients or property owners; maintain a safe, organized work area; require high attention to detail and problem-solving on-site challenges.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of carpenter experience in similar construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using and maintaining carpentry tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Physical stamina and strength for demanding tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
