Job Summary
Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions for rough wooden structures, then measure materials to lay out work. Cut, saw, and assemble boards and timbers using handsaws, power tools, and fasteners to construct wood or metal frameworks. Anchor and brace forms, erect scaffolds and roof supports, and bore bolt holes in various walls. Fabricate parts with woodworking and metalworking machines, dig post holes, and dismantle forms as needed. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing PPE and following strict safety protocols. You must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
Required Qualifications
- Apprentice certificates
- Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment and construction traffic
- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone
- Must be able to use team-lifting techniques for anything heavier
- Long periods of continual standing or walking
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and reach
- Good balance and dexterity
- Visual acuity to operate equipment and spot hazards
- Ability to hear with or without assistance to understand instructions in noisy environments
- Ability to consistently wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Strictly follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures
- Follow all applicable laws
- Flexibility to work extended hours
- Pre-employment drug fitness for duty screening
- Random quarterly drug fitness for duty tests
- Currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
