Job Summary
Carpenter needed to perform carpentry and general maintenance in vacant properties within the social housing portfolio, including installation/repair of doors, windows, frames, skirting boards, flooring, kitchen units, and other wooden fixtures; ability to carry out minor plastering, tiling, or painting; ensure health and safety compliance, liaise with tenants and contractors, and maintain records. Requires NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent) and proven residential/social housing carpentry experience; valid UK driving license; willingness to work on-call with potential evening appointments.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as a carpenter in a residential or social housing environment
- Ability to undertake a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks
- Experience working in void properties
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards
- Full UK driving license
