Job Summary
Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power tools. Install structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware. Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures. Verify trueness of structure using plumb bob and level. Remove damaged or defective parts and repair or replace sections. Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken structures. Install sheetrock on ceilings and walls, finishing with tape and mud to a level 4 finish. Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard using paint, hand tools, or paneling. Fill cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch. Work closely with the project execution team on the Hurlburt SABER Contract at Hurlburt Field, FL. Requires a valid driver's license, current OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate, and ability to pass background investigation and drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Current (within 3 years of hire date) Federal OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (or completion of the course prior to employment)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer)
- Acceptable background check results
- Appropriate clearance levels required and ability to obtain access to military installations (if applicable to the contract)
