Job Summary
Mix and pour concrete into forms for foundations, slabs, and containment areas, then smooth and finish surfaces using floats, trowels, and screeds. Perform repairs on damaged structures by patching cracks, resurfacing, and applying protective coatings. Construct and dismantle forms, place rebar according to design specifications, and execute excavation tasks including trench digging and leveling. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and skid steers to assist with site preparation. Adhere to all safety protocols, identify hazards, and maintain clear communication with supervisors. Follow detailed instructions from project managers to meet specifications and timelines. This role requires 3-5 years of concrete construction experience and a valid driver's license. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in concrete construction
- Experience in an industrial setting
- Proficiency in concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of forms and reinforcement practices
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good physical stamina
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Experience with excavation
- Experience with operating heavy equipment
