Job Summary
Safely use, maintain, and store construction tools while developing framing skills, reading blueprints, and interpreting building codes. Progress through apprenticeship levels by performing framing, concrete placement, site layout, roofing, and interior finishing work. Lead and instruct junior apprentices and labourers as experience grows, complete accurate site takeoffs, and apply building codes to installations. Participate in Effect's safety program and contribute to a safe, respectful job site while meeting construction standards. Available to work a 44-hour week outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop your skills
- Clear, respectful communication skills
- Able to meet Effect Home Builders' construction standards
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Able to provide tools and PPE as required
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's licence and good driving record
- Available to work a 44-hour work week
