Carpenter (Apprentice)

Job Summary
Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter will perform carpentry work for commercial and residential projects, ensure compliance with local building codes and safety policies, manage site maintenance, oversee subtrades, perform touch ups and frame/mechanical checks, complete finish carpentry, conduct quality inspections, and mentor novice workers while reporting issues to the site superintendent. Proficiency with power tools (air nailer, circular saw, screw gun) and strong organization, communication, and teamwork are required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in residential framing
- Enrollment in Carpentry apprenticeship program as a 3rd or 4th year or completion of Journeyman Carpentry
- Experience in finish carpentry is an asset
- Equipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)
- Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
