Job Summary
Elementary Teacher (3rd Grade) leads daily instruction, develops lesson plans, employs differentiated and research-based strategies, conducts interim assessments and data analysis, participates in meetings and professional development, supports after-school activities and scholar recruitment, and acts as a biblically-aligned Open Sky Education representative. Requires Bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid Wisconsin teaching credential (or willingness to attain one), 1-3 years of teaching experience, urban-education experience a plus, strong classroom-management and technology skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and ability to engage scholars and families while upholding code of conduct and faith-life commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid Wisconsin teaching credential or willingness to attain one
- Minimum of 12 educational teaching credits required after 3 years
- At least 1-3 years of teaching experience
- Experience working with students and families in low-income urban communities
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with school teaching platforms and technology for virtual learning
- Proven track record of student achievement results
