Job Summary
Provide one-on-one in-home care for a 90-year-old bedbound female client, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, personal care, colostomy bag care, repositioning, toileting and incontinence care, meal planning and feeding assistance, medication reminders, emotional support and companionship, and reporting changes in condition. Maintain client environment with light housekeeping, document observations, adhere to infection control and agency policies, and perform the required agency records. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for client-related tasks. Typical schedule includes two split shifts daily (8:00 AM–10:00 AM and 2:00 PM–4:00 PM) across Monday–Sunday with mileage reimbursement and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- TB (PPD) test results or chest X-ray required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience caring for elderly clients
- Colostomy bag care strongly preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Negative TB (PPD) test results or chest X-ray required
