Job Summary
Operate switchboard, register sales, and prepare food orders within 3–4 minutes while serving customers in the drive-thru and dining areas. Cook items on grills and fryers, package menu items, and clean all drive-in zones, restrooms, and grounds. Transport food weighing up to 50 lbs, dispose of trash, and sanitize food preparation tools. Respond immediately to guest requests and report accidents or employee issues to management. Requires ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, with continuous standing, bending, and overhead lifting. Must complete STAR certification and comply with health and sanitation laws.
Required Qualifications
- Must have proof of citizenship (or proof of eligibility to work in US)
- Must Be At Least 16 Years Of Age
- If Full Time (Avg. 30 Hours Or More) You Must Be Able To Work 38-45 Hours Weekly
- If Not Full Time, Then You Are Part Time And Can Only Work 29 Hours A Week (Or Less)
- Subject to pre-employment background and drug screening
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math and basic reading skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work irregular hours, nights, week-end's and holidays
- Ability to multi-task
- Complies with all Sonic Drive-In Policies and Procedures, and all health and sanitation laws and regulations
- Successfully completes and follows requirements of all STAR certification and other Sonic Drive-in training programs
- Continuous standing, bending, stooping, lifting, stretching and frequent over-head lifting will be required when staging, preparing, or packaging menu items and/or cleaning
- General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required
- Wears required uniform and appropriate personal protective equipment as outlined in the Sonic Drive-In operations manual
