Job Summary
Receive and release cargo from consignors, consignees, brokers, and truckers, checking for damage, counting, and loading/unloading shipments. Verify freight piece counts, weight, dimensions, and documents while issuing warehouse receipts or collecting delivery receipts. Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks. Perform daily equipment preventive maintenance, safety checks, and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse area. Remove snow and ice from walkways and truck docks. Work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and swing, graveyard, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
- Must be able to lift 50+lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Must be available to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts plus weekends and holidays
- Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test and obtain security clearance
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid Driver's license
