Job Summary
Receive and release cargo/mail from consignors, consignees, brokers, and truckers, checking for damage, counting, and loading/unloading shipments. Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks while performing daily equipment preventive maintenance and safety checks. Issue warehouse receipts or collect signed delivery receipts and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse area, including snow and ice removal from walkways and truck docks. Work outside in all weather conditions and elevated noise levels within the airport environment, lifting 50+ lbs regularly. Available for varied hours including swing, graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver's license and security clearance required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
- Must be able to lift 50+lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Must be available to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts plus weekends and holidays
- Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test and obtain security clearance
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid Driver's license
