Job Summary
Cargo Office Agent responsible for conveying shipping instructions to the customer services counter, retrieving import/export documents, accepting cargo and dangerous goods per TSA/FAA/IATA rules, releasing freight after CBP clearance, collecting air freight charges, handling customer calls, logging data into the company system, and following safety policies. Requires lifting up to 70 pounds, ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and completion of ramp and SIDA training; must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and work authorization for US/Canada as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or work experience equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- If work location is in the United States, authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- If work location is in Canada, authorization to work in Canada as defined by IRPA of 2001
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency
