Job Summary

Carry out sampling and measurement of cargoes including crude oil, petroleum products, petrochemicals, and gases. Perform visual checks, temperature and volume measurements, and draw representative samples. Accurately record data and complete calculations to determine load, discharge, and transfer quantities. Work with colleagues, clients, terminals, and third parties to ensure smooth operations and communicate delays or issues. This physically demanding role involves climbing shore tanks, working at heights, entering confined spaces, and boarding vessels alongside berths or at sea. You will work outdoors in various environments as part of a 24/7, 365-day operation requiring flexibility to align resources with workload driven by shipping and tide times.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Physical resilience and the ability to work in demanding, outdoor environments
  • Flexibility to work as part of a 24/7 operation

Desired Qualifications

  • Ideally you already have experience in oil & gas, including on board vessels or terminal operations
  • experience within oil & gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, or the wider maritime sector
  • backgrounds in ports, onshore or offshore operations, the Merchant Navy, Royal Navy, RAF, Army, cargo inspection, or oil, gas, and dry bulk cargo inspection activities
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
