Cargo Handler (Part Time) -YYZ

Job Summary
Cargo Handler duties include reading air waybills, bills of lading, and freight manifests to determine items to move; conveying freight using forklift or handling equipment; sorting and storing items according to destination; handling dangerous goods per area; completing requisitions and distributing items; opening containers; recording counts; cargo build-up/breakdown on skid/ULDs; performing pre-flight security checks (X-ray as required); maintaining a safe, clean work area; and adhering to safety policies. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, ability to converse in French, valid driver’s license with clean record, flexibility for weekends/holidays, ability to lift 30 kgs, and Transport Canada background check. Prior cargo experience and forklift certification are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently
- Must be able to converse in French
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record over the past 5 years
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift at least 30 kgs on a continuous basis
- Must pass Transport Canada Background check
- Prior Cargo experience & Fork lift certification preferred
- Required education: Secondary education
