Job Summary
Role involves receiving, storing, and distributing freight within established guidelines. Responsibilities include reading air waybills and bills of lading to determine items to move, using forklift or transporter to convey freight, sorting materials by destination, storing hazardous goods properly, filling requisitions and work orders, opening containers, recording counts, and performing other duties as assigned. Safety, health, and compliance are emphasized, including adherence to substance misuse policies. Strong emphasis on physical capability (lifting 75 pounds) and required background checks, medical and drug tests. Located on-site in Houston, TX with a schedule to be determined.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a custom seal to drive on AO A
- Must pass FBI background check and obtain a custom seal
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis
- Must pass pre-employment medical and a drug test
