Job Summary
Operate ramp-servicing vehicles and equipment to load, unload, and sort passenger baggage and freight from aircraft and trucks. Marshal or tow aircraft to gate positions, receive, count, tag, and weigh incoming freight using the Amelia Cargo System. Transport freight between aircraft and warehouse, maintain daily inventory, and notify customers of inbound freight for pickup. Prepare freight for transport adhering to policies, answer customer inquiries via email or phone, and check coolers and freezers daily. Complete regular online training and use scanning software for cargo functions. Shift work is required including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license Class 5F
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Criminal Reference Check
- Ability to read and write
- Basic math skills
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and written
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to follow direction
- Ability to obtain and maintain AVOP pass as per Transport Canada rules
- Shift work
- Weekends
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience & knowledge in warehousing, receiving and inventory control
- Inuktitut and/or Inuinnaqtun language
- Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
