Job Summary
Provide an excellent caretaker service to all customers, ensuring properties are left safe, clean, and tidy after maintenance. Carry out regular health and safety checks, documented inspections, and basic DIY tasks including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. Manage daily planning to optimize time while using hand tools and light machinery across multiple sites. Maintain a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a smartphone for SMS and authentication apps. Complete all relevant training and support caretaking services for older people's services.
Required Qualifications
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Access to a smartphone capable of receiving SMS messages and installing authentication apps for secure systems access
- At least one year's experience in a similar role
- Ability to carry out maintenance tasks safely and with practical ability
- Can-do attitude towards our residents and colleagues
- Ability to travel across multiple sites within a broad geographical area
- Ability to adapt to changing duties or priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Previous caretaking or maintenance experience (e.g., in a residential building, or healthcare setting)
- IT literacy for logging maintenance issues or using facility management systems
- Health & Safety training or awareness (e.g., COSHH, risk assessments)
