Job Summary
Lead departmental workflows and represent operational needs throughout the MEDITECH EMR implementation lifecycle. Partner with project teams, analysts, and stakeholders to design workflows, evaluate best practices, and identify efficiency opportunities. Manage testing, data conversion, and go-live readiness activities while ensuring decision documentation for deviations. Develop user training plans, validate system functionality, and support transition planning from legacy systems. Collaborate on cutover scheduling, resource allocation, and post-implementation optimization across assigned departments.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of departmental policies, procedures, workflows, and hospital operational processes
- Understanding of how departmental activities integrate with other hospital services and workflows
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, peers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Interest in healthcare technology and enthusiasm for using the EMR system to improve departmental and interdepartmental efficiency
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen, collaborate, and effectively communicate change
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support project activities
- Ability to positively influence and motivate colleagues without direct supervisory authority
- Ability to support organizational goals while representing departmental needs and priorities
