Job Summary
Caregivers provide high-quality, compassionate care and daily support to clients, assist with activities of daily living to ensure comfort, safety, and dignity, engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship, maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, and observe and report changes in client condition or behavior to management. The role requires reliable transportation to the facility, valid CPR/First Aid certifications, and a High School Diploma or equivalent; candidates should have strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills and pass Level 2 background screenings. The organization emphasizes daytime hours with no weekend shifts and offers training, development, and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar home health/residential care role
- CPR and First Aid certifications from an approved provider (in-person or blended)
- Valid Driver’s License with clean proof of automobile insurance
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Background Screening Level 2 clearance through FDLE and FBI via the Clearinghouse
- APD Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Successful completion of Core Pre-Service Training (DCCC, Zero Tolerance, Health and Safety) or willingness to complete within 30-90 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving/HHA/CNA or related field preferred
- Ability to pass required background screenings and compliance checks
- APD Core Training (Direct Care Core Competencies & Zero Tolerance) is a plus
