Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including transferring, bathing, dressing, shaving, and prescribed range of motion exercises. Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, changing linens, and laundry. Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions, accompany clients on errands or medical appointments, and provide dementia care. Offer companionship through reading, music, and puzzles, and manage medication reminders. Maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle for client travel. Requires a high school degree, California Home Care Aide registration, TB test, LiveScan, and CPR certification. Earn $18–20/hr with flexible scheduling, paid sick leave, training, and monthly cell phone reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- Registered as a California Home Care Aide
- Current TB Test
- State and Federal LiveScan (Fingerprinting)
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Have a valid driver's license and vehicle
