Job Summary
Assist clients with Alzheimer's and dementia in daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, feeding, and light housekeeping. Prepare meals and drive clients to appointments and outings using your own registered vehicle. Document completed tasks and promptly communicate changes in a client's physical condition, mental capacity, or behavior. Follow customized care plans designed to meet fundamental needs as the disease progresses. Provide non-medical companionship focused on activity-based care to improve mood and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional caregiving experience with Alzheimer's/dementia clients
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Valid Driver's License and vehicle with current registration and insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
