Job Summary
Provide one-on-one companion care and emotional support to seniors and older adults in the home setting, assisting with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation while accompanying clients to appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and community activities. Observe, document, and report changes in client condition to the care team or Director of Nursing. Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and daily household tasks as needed to promote client independence, dignity, and safety. BrightStar Care Louisville offers weekly pay ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour with flexible day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available throughout the Greater Louisville, Kentucky area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Adherence to HIPAA
- Client confidentiality

- Minimum one (1) year of caregiving experience
