Caregiver

A Caregiver with Visiting Angels Tyler supports the seniors they serve with a wide range of responsibilities from light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation to one-on-one mobility assistance and providing transportation. The role also offers opportunities for advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care so that caregivers can continue to develop their skills. Schedule options include Part Time with 8, 10, 12 hour shifts, PRN, short shifts, and Day shifts. Responsibilities include helping clients take prescribed medication, assisting with ambulation and mobility, personal care and hygiene, assisting with routine exercises, meal planning and preparation with client input, shopping support, light housekeeping, providing pleasant companionship, reporting unusual incidents, and acting quickly in emergencies. Requirements include 2 years of caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, a vehicle with current insurance, a passion to serve others, excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid, knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness, adherence to health and safety standards, respectful and compassionate demeanor, strong time management, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong ethics, physical endurance, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
