Job Summary
In-home caregiver role supporting veterans and elderly individuals with activities of daily living, mobility and personal care, assisting with physical therapy exercises, shopping, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and coordinating with caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members. Responsibilities include reporting any incidents, acting quickly in emergencies, and upholding health and safety standards. Requires CPR certification and a high school diploma; offers flexible schedules and competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
- Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Physical endurance to complete required tasks
- The duties of this job include providing support to the elderly through assistance in ADL- These tasks include: grooming, light housekeeping, running errands and meal preparation.
