Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Conduct room checks, monitor for environmental hazards, and observe changes in residents' physical or cognitive status. Utilize safe transfer techniques, operate medical equipment, and coordinate transportation needs while documenting all services provided. Wash laundry, perform housekeeping tasks, and assist with dining services. Report suspected abuse or emergencies to licensed staff immediately and maintain professional demeanor during interactions. Follow CDC Standard Precautions and infection control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible schedule and ability to cover all shifts as needed
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Good physical health and freedom from communicable diseases
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
