Job Summary
Provide companionship and emotional support while assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and safe mobility, including transfers and fall prevention. Accompany clients to appointments, run errands, and drive client vehicles when authorized. Observe and report changes in client condition while following individualized care plans. This role supports a client in Cheshire, CT, requiring your own reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license. Applicants must be comfortable working in a home where smoking occurs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must own and regularly have access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Available to work every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Prior caregiving, home care, healthcare, or personal care experience
- CNA certification
- Experience assisting clients with mobility needs, transfers, or Hoyer lifts
- Comfortable working in a home where the client smokes
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
