Job Summary
Provide personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support to elders while maintaining their dignity and independence. Deliver services per approved plans, assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility, and monitor health status to report changes promptly. Engage residents in meaningful interactions, facilitate group and individual programming, and conduct documentation of all scheduled and unscheduled services in the computer tracking system. Answer emergency calls and assist with laundry, meals, and bedtime as needed. Complete required orientation, in-service, and specialized training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use computer for documenting services provided
- Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written
- Completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation
- CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed
- Current license/certification as required by State Regulation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training
- Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia
